The name is a combination of archive: a repository or collection, especially of information, and zero: (3rd definition) the point of departure in reckoning; more pointedly, the point from which the graduation of a scale (like a thermometer) begins.
When I created my own publishing company, I did so with the intent of trying to create a compendium of innovative content for the philosophers of the future.
We are the architects.
According to Albert Einstein, any distinction between the past, present, and future is “a stubbornly persistent illusion." So perhaps if what’s past is prologue, and the future is now, the present is both past and future, and a zero-point phenomenon occurs eternally. Envision all the words for human conditions that would look much better with the word “zero” in front of them:
War. Famine. Poverty. Homelessness. Prejudice.
The list could go on, but maybe one day, there will be no need for a list. In another way, my name could be read to mean: Absolute Zero (the Kelvin scale) Prejudice (Bias). Let’s approach zero together.
Welcome to Archive Zero.
